Skip the harsh cleaners, bleach, or detergents. A bucket of warm water, a soft brush or sponge, and some mild soap (like Dr. Bronner&#x2019;s or dish soap) is all you need to remove dust, sap, or grime after a trip.</li><li data-start="632" data-end="882">Always let it dry completely. Never, ever store your tent while it&#x2019;s wet or even damp. This is the fastest way to get mildew, stink, and fabric breakdown. Open it up, catch some sun, and give it time to breathe before closing it up for storage.</li><li data-start="884" data-end="1083">Avoid pressure washers or chemical treatments. The tent fabric is tough, but not invincible.
